Rich Thomas began playing as a multi-instrumentalist in high school doubling on string bass and concert tuba. After starting to play electric bass guitar for his H.S. jazz band, he gigged with Edmund Wesley and the Soul Ministers from Lincoln University. Next, he attended NTSU and studied bass with Dr. Ed Rainbow before starting work with touring bands and shows. Rich has been fortunate to play at the KC Jazz Festival and sing and play clubs like the Lone Star Cafe and Cody’s in Manhattan. He also trained and played with Harry John Brown and Victor Alessandro for Mahler’s Second Symphony.
